Club World Cup: Senegalese trio appointed to officiate Bayern vs Auckland City clash

FIFA has appointed a Senegalese trio to officiate the match between Bayern Munich and Auckland City at the Club World Cup on June 15, in Cincinnati, United States. Issa Sy will take charge as the central referee, assisted on the lines by Djibril Camara and Nouha Bangoura.

The Bayern side, reigning German champions, are gearing up to face Auckland City, the semi-professional New Zealand outfit, this Sunday in the opening round of the inaugural Club World Cup. For this encounter scheduled at TQL Stadium at 16:00 GMT, FIFA has opted for an all-African—specifically Senegalese—refereeing crew.

Issa Sy, renowned for his experience in African and international competitions, will serve as the lead official for this Group C showdown at the Club World Cup.
