It is worth mentioning that Chelsea were close to signing Victor Osimhen last season, but what happened was that the Nigerian striker demanded a high wage that the Londoners were not willing to pay, which delayed the deal and the Nigerian went to Galatasaray on loan instead of wearing the Blues' shirt.

Although the player is still a hot favourite at Stamford Bridge, the club are hesitant due to his and his agent's financial demands. Chelsea have no shortage of names to sign, including Osimhen, but the player's salary is still an issue.
