In his first reaction to the rumors about a possible transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo to Wydad Casablanca, coach Mohamed Amine Benhachem expressed his immense admiration for the Al-Nassr captain, without confirming or denying the speculation.

Speaking at a press conference after the friendly match against Sevilla FC, he said: "I heard the news just like everyone else... Cristiano is obviously a huge name in the football world. Every coach would dream of having a player of his caliber."

As a reminder, the Spanish daily Marca recently revealed that Wydad is, to everyone's surprise, considering an attempt to sign the 40-year-old Portuguese legend for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13. Wydad falls to Sevilla and will face Porto in a friendly

On the pitch, Wydad suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat to Sevilla FC on Tuesday night at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, in a warm-up friendly. Despite the loss, Benhachem expressed satisfaction with his players' performance against a high-caliber opponent.

"We struggled in the first half due to Sevilla's high pressing, but we responded better after the break. We created a few chances, even if we couldn't find the back of the net," he explained.

The Reds will continue their preparations with another friendly against FC Porto, scheduled for this Saturday, before flying to the United States on June 9, where they will take on Manchester City on June 18 in their Club World Cup opener.
