What if Cristiano Ronaldo pulled off the ultimate shock by joining... Wydad Casablanca? According to the highly reputable Spanish daily Marca, the idea is making the rounds: the Moroccan club is reportedly considering luring the Portuguese superstar to compete in the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States.

Wydad, qualified for this special 32-team edition, is dreaming of a major splash both in the media and on the pitch. The arrival of CR7, even for a short stint, would dramatically boost their international profile—especially since Lionel Messi will also be in the mix with Inter Miami.

Fantasy or real project?

The connection between Ronaldo and Morocco is no coincidence. Back in the 2010s, he was a regular visitor to Marrakech, close to his friend Badr Hari. He even invested there, co-founding the luxury hotel Pestana CR7 Marrakech on the prestigious M Avenue.
