Cristiano Ronaldo’s long awaited return to Real Madrid could become reality before he hangs up his boots. The 40 year old Portuguese icon who starred for Los Blancos from 2009 to 2018, might don the famous white shirt once again but this time, for a short stint.

According to Radio Marca, FIFA regulations permit clubs participating in the Club World Cup to register up to 6 player on short term deals exclusively for the tournament.

A Farewell Appearance in the U.S.?

Real Madrid will compete in the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States from 15 June to 13 July, facing Al Hilal, Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg in the group stage.

Madridistas are eager to see Ronaldo return even if just for this tournament, as tribute to his legendary contributions to the club. If Florentino Pérez approves, fans could witness CR7 back where he made history.
