After a standout season with Istanbulspor (35 matches played and 3 goals scored), David Sambissa finds his future hanging in the balance. With just one year left on his contract, his next destination remains up in the air.

According to Gaboneco, his agents, based in the Netherlands, are seriously considering a return to the Eredivisie, where the Gabon international made his mark with SC Cambuur before heading to Turkey. Several Dutch clubs have reportedly been approached, though no names have yet surfaced.

But the main obstacle to a move remains the will of the 29-year-old himself. David Sambissa wants to stay in Turkey, but only in the top flight. The problem: Istanbulspor, currently bottom of the Süper Lig, will need to go through the play-offs to have any hope of staying up. Should they fail, the defender has already been offered to other Turkish top-tier clubs, according to the same source.
