Why Was Relegation Canceled?
The decision came after several clubs near the bottom of the table pushed for relief citing exceptional circumstances and tight match schedules that impacted the league’s competitive balance.
Voting Breakdown
- 10 clubs voted in favor of the cancellation
- 5 clubs abstained: ENPPI, ZED FC, Ceramica Cleopatra, Pharco and Petrojet
- 3 clubs were absent: Zamalek, Pyramids and Haras El Hodoud

Ismaily sits at the bottom with 19 point followed closely by Ghazl El Mahalla both initially facing relegation threats.
Title Race Still Alive
Al Ahly leads the table with 55 point, two ahead of Pyramids 53. A draw in their final match against Pharco will be enough for Al Ahly to secure their 45th league title regardless of Pyramids result.
Season End Confirmed
The league will officially conclude on 31 May as confirmed by the clubs association.
