French side Olympique Lyonnais has been hit with shocking transfer ban by FIFA preventing the club from registering new players for 3 consecutive transfer windows until the end of summer 2026.

Reports indicate that , the penalty stems from outstanding debt of just 2000 euro which was reportedly settled last Monday. fifa hasn't provided detailed explanations regarding each case but listed Lyon among 1175 club sanctioned for various reasons including financial disputes & regulatory breaches.
