Momoh Kamara opened the scoring in Elfsborg’s 4-0 victory over Halmstad on Monday, October 12, in the 23rd round of the Allsvenskan, Sweden’s top flight. The Sierra Leonean attacking midfielder scored in the 3rd minute, assisted by Leo Östman, taking his tally to six goals in 19 matches, according to the published statistics.
Having arrived on March 25, 2026, Momoh Kamara joined Elfsborg on loan from Minnesota United until the end of the season, with an option to buy. He had scored four goals and provided two assists in 14 matches the previous season.
Six goals and three assists
Kamara gradually found his place in Elfsborg’s system. He notably impressed on August 14 against Västerås, scoring twice and providing an assist in a 3-0 victory. He also scored against Malmö, Brommapojkarna and Kalmar during the summer and early autumn.
His goal against Halmstad continues that run. With six goals and three assists in 19 matches, according to the tally being used, he ranks among the team’s leading attacking contributors. He is the club’s second-highest scorer, behind Leo Östman, who is now credited with eight goals.
Elfsborg consolidate fourth place
The 4-0 victory takes Elfsborg’s tally to 40 points after 23 rounds, compared with 37 before the match. The club occupied fourth place in the standings before this round and retained that position after its win, according to the available data.
For Kamara, this goal above all confirms his attacking contribution since arriving in Sweden. As the season progresses, his goals and assists are becoming an important part of Elfsborg’s overall record.
