Elyes Skhiri makes Bundesliga history!
Tunisian midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt, Elyes Skhiri, has set a new milestone by becoming the most capped Tunisian player in the history of the German championship.
Last Sunday, during the 32nd round of the Bundesliga against Mainz (1-1), Skhiri played his 173rd match in the German top flight, surpassing the previous record held by Karim Haggui (172 appearances).
This record had stood for more than a decade. Haggui represented several German clubs, including Hannover 96, Bayer Leverkusen, and VfB Stuttgart. As for Skhiri, he has played for both FC Cologne and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Since his arrival in Frankfurt, the former Montpellier player has featured in 81 matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists.
