Erling Haaland reveals what he said to Omar Marmoush upon the Egyptian's arrival at Manchester City!
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has revealed what he told Egyptian team-mate Omar Marmoush on his arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt to the blue section of Manchester City.
The Norwegian and Egyptian striker are working together to salvage what can be salvaged from Manchester City's dismal season.
Manchester City's latest disappointment was a 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
What Erling Haaland had to say about Omar Marmoush!
Speaking about his Egyptian team-mate's start to the team and what the Eintracht Frankfurt man has been able to achieve, Haaland said: “He’s got a great start at Manchester City, he’s got much speed, the flair a little bit in his game, And again, I told him, You come to City, you don’t have to prove anything. There’s a reason why they bought you’, because look what he did for Eintracht Frankfurt, also this season”.
Speaking to ESPN UK, the Norwegian added: “For him is to come good in the team and bring what he knows he can do; score goals, give assists, come with loads of energy, and play his style of football. This is what we need”.
In an exclusive ESPN UK interview, Erling Haaland opened up about his budding partnership with Manchester City's January signing Omar Marmoush, revealing the advice he gave the Egyptian star during his Etihad transition.
"I told him, 'You come to City, you don't have to prove anything. There's a reason they bought you,'" Haaland shared, praising Marmoush's explosive Frankfurt form that convinced City to act. The Norwegian highlighted his new teammate's "speed, flair, and energy" as perfect complements to his own ruthless finishing.
Their partnership showed glimpses in the FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace – notably when Haaland selflessly handed Marmoush a late penalty (saved by Dean Henderson) – but the 1-0 loss underscored City's broader creative struggles. With Kevin De Bruyne's impending exit and Florian Wirtz no longer a target, Guardiola faces a midfield rebuild.
