Esperance de Tunis eliminated from the Club World Cup

The journey ends here for Esperance de Tunis. Facing Chelsea in the final matchday of the Club World Cup group stage, the Blood and Gold were soundly beaten (3-0) by the English side.

Despite showing resilience in the first half, the Tunisians held out until just before the break. From a well-taken free-kick by Enzo Fernandez, Tosin Adarabioyo rose above everyone to open the scoring with a powerful header (44'). Two minutes later, Liam Delap capitalized on a through ball from Fernandez to double the lead with an unstoppable angled strike (46').

Outplayed, Esperance struggled to threaten in the second half despite several substitutions. Chelsea sealed the victory in stoppage time. Young substitute Tyrique George beat the keeper with a crisp low drive (90+2').

With this win, the Blues finish second in Group D, behind Flamengo. Esperance de Tunis exit the competition without glory.
