Algerian football legend Rabah Madjer has expressed his optimism about the ability of African clubs to go far in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The tournament will take place in the United States between June 15 and July 13, featuring 32 teams, including four representatives from Africa: South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, Egypt's Al Ahly, Tunisia's Esperance, and Morocco's Wydad.

In an exclusive interview with Al Ain Sports, Rabah Madjer commented on the participation of African and Arab clubs in the 2025 Club World Cup.

"Whether it's Al Ahly, Esperance, Wydad, or Al Ain, all of these teams are capable of proving themselves at the highest level, given the quality of players they possess... I believe that achieving good results at the Club World Cup will definitely require playing free from all pressures and performing to their true potential. Of course, it won't be easy for the Arab teams, but their chances of advancing to the second round remain alive."
