Eze and Sarr Shine as Crystal Palace Secure FA Cup Final Spot

Crystal Palace booked their place in the FA Cup final for the 3rd time in their history after commanding 3 - 0 victory over Aston Villa at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 26 Apr.

Eagles star Eberechi Eze opened the scoring in the 31 minute with rocket from the edge of the box after clever assist by Ismaila Sarr. Eze's strike left Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez rooted to the spot.

Palace dominated proceedings with Sarr & Eze constantly tormenting Villa’s defense. Early in the 2nd half, Palace earned penalty after Eze was fouled but Jean Philippe Mateta squandered the chance by missing from the spot.

Palace Kept Pushing

In the 58 minute, Sarr extended the lead finishing off quick counterattack orchestrated by Mateta with powerful shot from outside the box.

The Eagles sealed the win deep into stoppage time when Sarr scored his 2nd goal of the match after being set up by substitute Eddie Nketiah who replaced Mateta late on.

Palace Await City or Forest

Palace who previously lost the FA Cup finals in 1990 & 2016, now await the winner between Man City & Nottingham Forest for the grand showdown on 17 May at Wembley.

It’s massive achievement for Palace whose electric attack led by Eze & Sarr's powered them to within touching distance of historic FA Cup triumph.
