FC Barcelona are eighth in the Champions League standings. At Camp Nou, the Catalan club host Aston Villa tomorrow in one of the showdowns of the fourth matchday. Ahead of the game, Hansi Flick looked back on his team's two defeats of the week against Real Madrid and PSG.

The Blaugrana made headlines by losing to PSG (2-4) and in the Clásico against Real Madrid (1-2). At a press conference, Hansi Flick admitted that the results could have been different.

“Against Real Madrid, the result could have been different, just as it could have been against PSG. At this level, anything can happen. We had won 11 games in a row. You are focusing on these two defeats. But I have confidence in my team. We have to focus on Aston Villa and the Champions League. We want to be among the top eight. It doesn't surprise me; it's the reality, but I think we played at the same level as PSG and Real Madrid and that the results could have been different. But I don't like looking back too much; I prefer to focus on the next games. We can make history and we are working for that, to win La Liga and the Champions League—we have the means to do so,” he said.

Flick impressed by Raphinha

In excellent form since the start of the season, Raphinha has been setting the charts alight in a No. 9 role. Hans-Dieter Flick paid tribute to the Brazilian international.

“He is playing at an exceptional level. Of course, his strengths and qualities are perfectly suited to our style of play. He always spots the spaces to exploit, and we also have players capable of supplying him with that final pass. He is very focused, he is our captain, and he is showcasing his qualities, which is important for us. I am delighted,” the German said to reporters.
