Since yesterday, Wednesday, Lamine Yamal has inherited the iconic number 10 shirt from legend Lionel Messi. The Spanish prodigy shares his thoughts.

Lamine Yamal will now don the number 10 on his back. Worn by legends such as Lionel Messi, Rivaldo, and Ronaldinho, this number carries immense responsibility. Asked about it during his contract extension on Wednesday, Lamine Yamal explained he is unfazed by comparisons.

"Messi made his own path, I will make mine, and the number 10 came from Ansu (Fati, who left for Monaco, editor's note). I'm just going to try to make my own way. I've always dreamed of playing for Barça, and now I wear the 10—every kid born in Barcelona has dreamed of this. I thank the club," replied Lamine Yamal.
