Fecafoot: New scandal rocks the Cameroonian Football Federation!
A fresh scandal is shaking the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), which is now facing a formal notice for non-payment of services.
The agencies Medi Voyages SARL and Marwan & Medi Voyages are demanding settlement of a massive debt: nearly 987 million CFA francs (around €1.37 million), related to the management of travel for the national teams.
According to a statement dated May 15, 2025, negotiations with the Federation have broken down, prompting the two agencies to take legal action. They denounce an unfulfilled commitment: Fecafoot had pledged to pay 450 million CFA francs before March 20, 2025, a promise that was never honored.
The Federation, led by Samuel Eto’o, was counting on a bank loan from UBA Bank to settle the debt, but has so far been unsuccessful.
The state had supposedly released the funds!
Even more troubling: the agencies claim that the necessary funds had indeed been released by the state, as confirmed by the specialized Treasury of the Ministry of Sports. Yet, the service providers have never been paid.
This latest affair adds to a string of controversies that have tarnished Fecafoot’s reputation, already weakened by internal strife and disputed financial management.
A new cloud of uncertainty hangs over Cameroonian football...
