Feyenoord refuse the purchase option for Ibrahim Osman
After spending a season on loan at Feyenoord, Ibrahim Osman will not be continuing his journey in the Netherlands. The Dutch club has officially announced its decision not to trigger the purchase option for the 20-year-old Ghanaian forward. Osman, who arrived from Brighton, was unable to fully convince the management, who have decided to send him back to England.
Ibrahim Osman is under contract with the Seagulls until 2029. During the past Eredivisie campaign, the young striker featured in 32 matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists. While these are respectable numbers, they were not enough to secure his future at Feyenoord.
Back at Brighton, the Ghanaian will now have to fight for a spot in a highly competitive English squad. Still only 20 years old, Ibrahim Osman retains impressive potential and could yet make a significant impact in the years ahead.
