On Tuesday, December 12, FIFA unveiled the list of winners for the "The Best" awards for 2024, with Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior, Real Madrid's forward, claiming the prize for Best Men's Player of the Year. Spanish midfielder Rodri finished in second place, while England's Jude Bellingham rounded out the top three.

According to details released on FIFA's official website, the votes from Egypt's national team captain, Mohamed Salah, for the 2024 Best Men's Player award went to Vinícius Júnior in first place, followed by Rodri in second, and Dani Carvajal in third.

Meanwhile, Algeria's captain and Al-Ahli Saudi player, Riyad Mahrez, cast his top vote for his former Manchester City teammate Rodri. He placed Vinícius Júnior second and Norwegian striker Erling Haaland third.
