On Thursday, October 22, 2026, FIFA officially announced the creation of the Women's Club World Cup.

Women's clubs will also have their own Club World Cup. FIFA has just officially announced the dates for the inaugural edition of the women's version of the global club tournament.

The United States to host the inaugural edition

The inaugural edition of this Women's Club World Cup will take place from January 5 to 30, 2028, in the United States.

“The inaugural edition of the FIFA Women's Club World Cup will be held in the United States in January 2028. The choice of host country was confirmed by the FIFA Council in view of the quality of its infrastructure and services, as well as the interest shown by the various stakeholders in women's football,” the official statement said.
