Born on April 15, 1971, the legendary midfielder of Nigeria's Super Eagles and Ajax Amsterdam, Finidi George, celebrates his 54th birthday.

Winner of the UEFA Champions League in 1995 with Ajax Amsterdam, Finidi George, better known as "Finidi" (meaning radiant future in Nigerian), was a key figure in the prestigious Dutch club alongside illustrious teammates like Kanu, Rijkaard, Overmars, Davids, Seedorf, and Litmanen during the 90s.

But it is especially in his national team jersey that his legend was forged. The man with 62 caps for the "Super Eagles" was one of the leaders of the fantastic generation that won the African Cup of Nations in 1994 and ensured two brilliant participations in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups.
