This game also marks the official debut of Al Ahly under their new Spanish head coach, José Ribeiro, who will be looking to assess his squad’s fitness while integrating the club’s new signings into the team before a summer packed with global competition.

The match is scheduled for this Saturday at 21:00 GMT (17:00 local time, US East Coast). It will be broadcast exclusively on OnTime Sports, with renowned commentator Raouf Ben Khelif set to cover the event.

This showdown with Pachuca goes beyond a simple friendly—it’s a high-stakes dress rehearsal ahead of the highly anticipated clash with Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami, which will mark Al Ahly’s debut in the Club World Cup. That opening fixture is set for the early hours of Sunday, June 15.

The upcoming Club World Cup edition, running in the United States from June 15 to July 13, will be historic in every sense. For the first time, 32 clubs will compete, representing the elite of world football.

The draw placed Al Ahly, known as the Club of the Century, in a tough group alongside Inter Miami (USA), FC Porto (Portugal), and Palmeiras (Brazil).
