France national team: date of Zinédine Zidane's appointment announced

A few days after the 2026 World Cup, the French national team is ready to turn the Didier Deschamps page.

After finishing fourth in this 2026 World Cup, having fallen short in the semifinals against La Roja (2-0), France is now gearing up for the Zinédine Zidane era. It's the end of an era for Didier Deschamps after 14 years in charge, making way for his successor.

According to information from L’Équipe, Zidane's arrival is imminent. While the former Real Madrid boss is assembling his staff and Didier Deschamps has bid farewell, Zidane is expected to be officially announced on Tuesday, July 28.
