Frankfurt: Elye Wahi already on his way out?
Six months after his arrival in Frankfurt, Elye Wahi could already be packing his bags. The Franco-Ivorian striker, signed during the last winter transfer window, has failed to meet the expectations of the German club. In 11 appearances across all competitions, not a single goal, not a single assist. A tough adaptation period.
According to Foot01, Eintracht Frankfurt no longer counts on him. The club has even offered the player to Stade Rennais, who are searching for attacking reinforcements for next season. Elye Wahi, 22, is under contract with Frankfurt until June 2030. But his disappointing Bundesliga debut has damaged his reputation.
A return to Ligue 1 could reignite his career, especially after shining at Montpellier before his brief stint at OM. Rennes has yet to respond, but the prospect of a low-risk gamble could prove tempting.
