Friendlies: Cameroon unveils its June schedule (official)

After several weeks of uncertainty, the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) has officially released the Indomitable Lionsโ€™ fixture list for the June international window.

For nearly a month, reports had been circulating about Cameroonโ€™s participation in a friendly tournament in Morocco. A letter attributed to Fecafootโ€™s secretary general, Isaac Noรฉ Mandong, was even mentioned in the media, indicating a provisional agreement for the trip.

On May 13, Ugandaโ€™s head coach Paul Put announced a friendly against Cameroon on June 6, a statement that took Cameroonian coach Marc Brys by surprise, as he had not confirmed the news. It took some time before Fecafoot finally clarified the situation.

Cameroon to face Uganda and Equatorial Guinea

Itโ€™s now official: Cameroon will indeed take on Uganda on June 6, then Equatorial Guinea three days later, on June 9. The announcement was formalized this Wednesday in a letter sent to the head coach.

Both showdowns will take place at the Grand Stade de Marrakech. This will mark a first-ever meeting with Uganda in recent history, while the clash with Equatorial Guinea will be their fourth, with the record perfectly balanced: one win, one loss, and one draw for Cameroon.
