Friendly: Gabon defeats Guinea-Bissau (2-0)
Gabon national team

On Monday, June 9, 2025, Gabon outclassed Guinea-Bissau 2-0 at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia in a friendly clash, thanks to goals from Shorla Aboghe and Bryan Meyo Ngoua.

After a dramatic defeat to Niger (4-3), the Panthers bounced back in style. Facing Guinea-Bissau in a friendly, Thierry Mouyouma’s men showed real composure to get back on track. Shorla Aboghe broke the deadlock in the 25th minute. Opportunistic inside the box, the Vautour Club striker capitalized on a sublime assist from Kanga Guelor to net his very first goal for Gabon's national team.

Gabon then controlled proceedings throughout the second half. In stoppage time (94th minute), Bryan Meyo Ngoua doubled the lead and sealed Gabon's victory over Guinea-Bissau (2-0). With this impressive performance, Thierry Mouyouma’s squad wraps up the June FIFA international window. Their next gathering will be for the 7th and 8th rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
