Friendly: Tunisia outclasses Burkina Faso
Tunisia got the better of Burkina Faso this Monday, June 2, in a friendly match. At the Hammadi Agrebi Olympic Stadium in Radès, the Carthage Eagles claimed a 2-0 victory over the Stallions.
After a tightly contested first half, the game opened up after the break. In the 60th minute, Edmond Tapsoba unfortunately beat his own goalkeeper, gifting Tunisia the opening goal. A harsh blow for Burkina Faso, who had been defensively solid until then.
Late in the game, Hamza Mastouri, who came on in the 80th minute, sealed Tunisia’s win with a clinical counter-attack finish (90'). A deserved victory for Sami Trabelsi’s men, who were more efficient in the key moments.
Tunisia will continue their summer preparations on Friday, June 6, against Morocco in Fès. Burkina Faso will face Zimbabwe the same day, also on Moroccan soil.
