Germany: a search conducted at the federation after elimination

For Germany, nothing has gone right since their elimination in the round of 16 at this 2026 World Cup by Paraguay.

Knocked out in a stunning upset by Paraguay in the round of 16 (1-1, 3-4 on penalties), the Mannschaft is in crisis. On top of that, the German national team must also deal with significant turmoil at the institutional level.

According to confirmation from the German Football Association (DFB) to AFP, a search was carried out Wednesday at its headquarters in Frankfurt over suspicions of corruption related to the organization of Euro 2024 in Germany.
