Germany vs Luxembourg: Die Mannschaft aims to confirm their comeback

Germany hosts Luxembourg this Friday in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. After a convincing 3-1 win in Northern Ireland, Die Mannschaft wants to keep the momentum going in front of their home fans.

Under Julian Nagelsmann's guidance, the Germans seem to be regaining their sharpness. With Florian Wirtz, Serge Gnabry and Leon Goretzka in top form, the team is putting on a more fluid and attacking display.

On the other side, Luxembourg is going through a tough spell. The team hasn't won since March and is on a losing streak, most recently against Switzerland, Slovenia and Slovakia. On paper, the gap between the two sides is huge. In fact, Germany has won their last six matches against Luxembourg, often by several goals.
