Hakimi follows Mbappé's example and buys a Spanish club!
French media reports have revealed that Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has acquired ownership of the Spanish club Ciudad de Getafe, a team where he spent most of his childhood and which marked his European debut. The club is based in the capital, Madrid.
In doing so, Hakimi is following in the footsteps of his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate, Kylian Mbappé, who last year purchased the French club Caen.
Achraf Hakimi buys a club in Spain!
According to the newspaper Le 10 Sport, quoting his Argentine agent Alejandro Camaño, the deal has indeed been finalized. Camaño explained that "the Atlas Lion" wanted to acquire his childhood club, though he did not inform the media at the time.
Camaño added that this move aligns with Achraf Hakimi's long-term vision: to support young talents, mentor them, and provide real opportunities for development—mirroring his own journey before joining Real Madrid's youth academy.
It's worth noting that the Moroccan right-back will attempt, alongside his club Paris Saint-Germain, to win the Champions League in the final against Bayern Munich, scheduled for Saturday, May 31 at the Allianz Arena in Munich. This would be a historic first for the Parisian club, which has never lifted the prestigious trophy.
