Paris Saint-Germain has been dealt a blow: Achraf Hakimi, suffering from a severe ankle sprain and called up to join Morocco for the Africa Cup of Nations, is not expected to return to the pitch before the end of January. It's a tough setback for Luis Enrique, who loses one of his key players at a pivotal moment in the season. Yet, despite the significance of Hakimi's absence and the imminent opening of the winter transfer window, the Parisian club has made a bold choice: they will not sign anyone to fill his position.

According to information confirmed by L’Équipe, PSG believes it already has enough internal solutions. Luis Enrique, staying true to his philosophy of versatility, intends to rely on players capable of covering several areas of the pitch, such as Warren Zaïre-Emery, Joao Neves, or the young Senny Mayulu. Even the very young David Boly, just 16 years old, is already seen as a credible option to fill in on the right flank when needed.

The coach's stance is nothing new. Back on October 24, he had already explained that buying a full-back "would be very expensive for a player who will only play three matches before losing motivation". The message was clear: Paris will remain calm this winter. Hakimi's injury doesn't change the Spanish coach's philosophy, who is convinced that the squad's internal depth is enough to see them through until his return.
