"I Played Through Agony!" — Rüdiger Reveals Shocking Injury
Real Madrid’s German defender Antonio Rudiger's revealed shocking detail about the injury that recently sidelined him stating that he'd been playing in severe pain for over 7 months.
The 31 year old was forced off during the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona last Saturday. Days later, Real Madrid confirmed that Rudiger underwent meniscus surgery, with expected absence of 6 to 8 weeks.
Rudiger -- “I Had No Other Option”
In post on his official X account, Rudiger explained:
“After playing more than 7 month in severe pain, I'd no choice but to undergo surgery. The operation was successful and I’m finally free from the pain”
He also thanked the medical team and confirmed he's already begun the recovery process.
