The Kenya Police midfielder scored stunning debut goal against The Gambia and was among the top performers in the 2 - 1 loss to Gabon. But it’s not just his talent that impressed McCarthy.

Speaking on NTV, the South African tactician highlighted Bajaber’s hunger to succeed in Europe:

“He told me, ‘Coach I’m going to play in Europe’ That’s my kind of player ambitious, fearless and focused”
