Al-Nassr fans endured a tough night on Tuesday after their team was knocked out of the 2025/2026 Saudi King’s Cup in the round of 16.

The club fell to their rival, Al-Ittihad, with a 2-1 defeat in Riyadh, thus bringing their round of 16 campaign to a close.

Ronaldo encourages the team after Al-Nassr's setback

The defeat was hard to swallow for Cristiano Ronaldo, who looked visibly saddened and disappointed as he left the pitch, reflecting his sense of responsibility toward the team.

On his (X) account, the 40-year-old posted a team photo alongside a positive message: "We stand tall, learn, and move forward together"

This elimination adds to a challenging record for the Portuguese star with Al-Nassr since his arrival in January 2023. The striker has yet to win any of the 13 official competitions contested: three consecutive Saudi league titles, four King’s Cups, four Super Cups, and two Asian Champions Leagues.
