Infantino's 4 Favorites for the 2025 Club World Cup!
FIFA President Gianni Infantino, invited to the White House on Friday, March 7 by U.S. President Donald Trump, revealed the four clubs he sees as the main contenders for the Club World Cup title in its new format.
Infantino also presented Trump with the new design of the 2025 Club World Cup trophy, specifying that the prestigious trophy will remain in the United States until the competition kicks off this summer.
Infantino names his favorites for the crown
When asked by Trump about the teams he sees as favorites for the 2025 Club World Cup and the 2026 World Cup, Infantino responded:
"For the Club World Cup, the main favorites are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain. For the 2026 World Cup, I see Argentina, Brazil, Spain, and England among the top contenders."
The United States will host the Club World Cup from June 15 to July 13, 2025, with a unique edition bringing together 32 teams from different confederations. Among the qualified clubs are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Egypt's Al Ahly, Inter Miami, as well as several other major teams in world football.

Here is the composition of the groups in which the four African clubs participating in the competition will compete:
- Group A: Palmeiras, Porto, Al Ahly, Inter Miami
- Group D: Flamengo, Espérance de Tunis, Chelsea, Lyon
- Group F: Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan Hyundai, Mamelodi Sundowns
- Group G: Manchester City, Wydad Casablanca, Al Ain, Juventus
