Inter Milan enters the race for Marco Asensio

Back at Paris Saint-Germain after a successful loan spell at Aston Villa, Marco Asensio no longer features in Luis Enrique's plans, and several European clubs are sensing a smart opportunity.

According to information from CaughtOffside, Inter Milan has become the latest contender to throw its hat into the ring, joining the likes of AC Milan and Fenerbahçe. The Lombardy club, last season’s Champions League runner-up—losing to none other than PSG—is looking to bolster its attack for the upcoming campaign.

At 29, Asensio (8 goals and 1 assist in 21 matches for Aston Villa) is under contract with Paris until 2026, but his departure seems increasingly likely. The player is reportedly open to a move to Italy, where he could enjoy more consistent playing time.
