Inter Milan vs FC Barcelona: probable line-ups

This Tuesday, May 6, Inter Milan welcomes FC Barcelona to the prestigious Giuseppe Meazza for the highly anticipated second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.

After a spectacular first encounter that ended in a 3-3 draw, everything is still up for grabs in the race for a spot in the Munich final.

The atmosphere in Milan promises to be electric, with over 70,000 fans expected to roar Inter on to yet another epic feat.

In the first leg, both teams delivered an attacking masterclass, highlighted by a spectacular backheel goal from Marcus Thuram and flashes of brilliance from the prodigy Lamine Yamal.

Lewandowski and Lautaro Martinez return

For this major showdown, FC Barcelona—chasing their first Champions League final since 2015—will be boosted by the return of Robert Lewandowski. The prolific Polish striker, however, remains doubtful for the starting lineup.

On the Inter side, Lautaro Martinez and Benjamin Pavard are also back from injury and could feature on the bench.

Here are the probable line-ups for both teams:

  • Inter Milan: Sommer – Bisseck (or Pavard), Acerbi, Bastoni – Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco – Thuram, Martinez (or Taremi).

Manager: Simone Inzaghi (ITA)

  • FC Barcelona: Szczesny – Eric Garcia, Araujo, Cubarsi, Iñigo Martinez – De Jong (capt.), Pedri, Gavi – Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Ferran Torres.

Manager: Hansi Flick (GER)
