Ismael Maiga joins FK Čukarički

Ismael Maiga is changing jerseys in Serbia. The 21-year-old Ivorian defender has signed a contract with FK Čukarički, a Serbian top-flight club, until June 2028.

He arrives from Tekstilac, a year before the end of his previous deal. Having spent two and a half years in Serbia, Ismael Maiga won’t be stepping into the unknown:

I won’t have any trouble adapting. Every time I played against Čukarički, I saw it was a great club. I even followed them in Europe against Olympiacos. It’s clearly one of the best teams in Serbia.

Strong and promising, Ismael Maiga has featured in 12 matches this season. His physical profile and local experience should help him quickly establish himself in his new team.
