Ismaëlo Ganiou set for FC Annecy return?

Ismaëlo Ganiou could be heading back to the shores of the lake this summer. The 20-year-old Burkinabé defender is in advanced talks for another loan move to FC Annecy, where he left a strong impression during his initial stint.

Arriving last January from Padova (Serie C), Ganiou quickly established himself in the Annecy squad thanks to his versatility and defensive solidity. In just 12 Ligue 2 appearances, he scored one goal and provided two assists, playing a key role in the club's successful end to the season.

Under contract with Padova, the Burkinabé U23 international could be set for another season-long loan, an option that appears to suit all three parties according to information from Dauphiné Libéré. At Annecy, there is hope they can once again rely on a young but already experienced player, capable of playing multiple positions across the back line.
