The Italian club has released a medical statement to clarify the injury he sustained in training.

The 19-year-old winger is suffering from a fracture in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. This injury won't require surgery, but rather a conservative treatment.
"After consulting Professor Neik Van Dijk, a specialist in foot surgery, the decision was made to proceed with conservative treatment," stated the club, managed by Cesc Fabregas.
The recovery time will depend on how the injury evolves, but it's expected to be around five weeks. The Lion of Teranga will therefore miss the clash against Bologna on Saturday, August 30 in Serie A, as well as Senegal's next two matches against Sudan and DR Congo in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
