Kaizer Chiefs are on alert as one of the league's top players wants a new experience!

Makhosi's management is looking for quality reinforcements for next season to better compete against Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, It is important to look at the state of the defence, which needs to be reinforced before the start of next season.
Amakhosi's management set their sights on SuperSport United defender
Kaizer Chiefs may soon make their move for Ime Okon, the promising SuperSport United defender who is set to leave the club at the end of the season. The 21-year-old center-back, who joined Matsatsantsa from Randburg FC in 2022, has already made 53 appearances for the team, including 16 in the league this campaign.
Okon’s rising profile attracted interest from Dynamo Kyiv earlier this year, with the Ukrainian side taking him on trial in January 2025. However, despite their continued interest, the young defender turned down a permanent transfer.
SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews confirmed the situation to FARPost, stating, “Dynamo Kyiv remains interested in Ime, but for now, he has decided against the move.”
With Okon’s departure confirmed, Chiefs could now step in to secure the highly rated defender’s services ahead of next season.
What's next for Glamour Boys!
Following Royal AM's removal from the Premier Soccer League (PSL), all points earned against them have been wiped from the records. This adjustment has reshaped the league table, with Kaizer Chiefs now sitting on 30 points after 24 matches.
However, their hopes of securing a top-eight finish face stiff competition from Chippa United and Golden Arrows. The Chilli Boys have drawn level with Chiefs on points and still have an extra game to play, adding pressure to Nabi’s squad. Chiefs' recent encounter with Chippa ended in a goalless stalemate, further complicating their push up the table.
Next up, Nasreddine Nabi’s men will take on Marumo Gallants on Saturday, April 26th, at 15:00. A strong performance will be crucial as they battle to stay in contention for a top-half finish.
