Kion Etete leaves Bolton and returns to Cardiff

Kion Etete will no longer wear the Bolton shirt. On loan from Cardiff City since January, the Anglo-Nigerian striker is heading back to the Bluebirds. Bolton officially announced his departure on their website. Thus, the chapter closes here for the 23-year-old centre-forward.

Kion Etete, 23, remains under contract with Cardiff until June 2027. He will now rejoin the squad and look to earn his place for the upcoming season. Powerful and determined, he showed real promise. But it wasn’t enough to convince Bolton to extend his stay.

His return to Cardiff presents a fresh opportunity. Kion Etete still has time to develop and win over his manager.
