Kolo Touré: The Ivorian legend joins Man City for the Club World Cup
Kolo Touré

After leaving Manchester City in 2013 as a player, Kolo Touré is back with the Citizens—this time stepping into a coaching role. The former centre-back joins the technical team to support Pep Guardiola during the prestigious Club World Cup.

The Ivorian international and ex-centre-back, who clinched the Premier League title with Manchester City in 2012, is now part of the senior staff for the Sky Blues as they prepare for the 2025 Club World Cup, kicking off June 15 in the United States. Previously the U-18 coach, the 44-year-old will now work directly under Pep Guardiola, alongside Pepijn Lijnders (tactical assistant) and James French (set-piece specialist).

This collaboration between former players and renowned coaches is designed to maximize Manchester City's preparation and performance against the world’s elite clubs.
