KRC Genk: Tolu Arokodare speaks out on the rumors
Interview
Tolu Arokodare is making headlines in Belgium. The Nigerian striker is having a stellar season with KRC Genk. With 22 goals to his name, he stands among the league’s top scorers. He has also provided five assists. Thanks to these performances, he’s caught the eye of several major European clubs.
Having joined from Amiens in January 2023, Tolu Arokodare quickly settled in. He was brought in to replace Paul Onuachu, who left for Southampton. Since then, Arokodare has gone from strength to strength. At just 24, he’s become a key figure for Genk. But the Nigerian forward isn’t stopping there. In an interview, he revealed a personal dream: to one day play in the English Premier League.
The future isn’t written yet, but like many players, it’s a dream of mine to play in the Premier League one day.
Newcastle and Fulham are already tracking him, alongside Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. For now, he’s keeping a cool head despite the swirling rumors:
When it comes to media noise, I just try to stay focused and keep a level head.
With his contract running until 2027, Genk will surely have a tough time holding onto him for long. In the meantime, Tolu Arokodare remains fully focused on finishing the season strong:
Winning the championship would be a huge achievement. This season, I’ve built a strong bond with the fans, and I’d be truly happy if we could reward them with the title.
