Despite his impressive statistics, Kylian Mbappé is enduring a tense end to the season with Real Madrid. Knocked out of the Champions League and falling behind in La Liga, the French striker is showing growing frustration with his team's collective struggles.

On his social media, Mbappé voiced his disappointment:

"We fought until the end, but it wasn't enough. It's disappointing to be eliminated from such an important competition, but we have to move forward. We need to look closely at ourselves to avoid this kind of disappointment again, but we will never give up!!! At Madrid, failure has never been and will never be an option. But I promise you one thing: we will win again very soon."

But according to L'Équipe, the Frenchman was hoping for more, especially in La Liga, which now seems almost out of reach.

According to Edu Aguirre, the problem runs deeper:

"Mbappé knows the problem isn't the red card. It's a football problem. He sees that he scores goals but Real Madrid aren't playing at all."
