La Gantois extends Congolese forward's contract

The future is painted blue and white for David Mukuna. The Belgian striker of Congolese (DRC) descent has officially extended his contract with La Gantoise until June 2026. The Flemish club announced the news via its Instagram account, welcoming back a player on a remarkable upward trajectory.

Loaned out this season to KRC Gent, David Honoré Mukuna Trouet made a big impression in the Belgian National Division 1 VV A, netting 22 goals in 29 matches. This lethal efficiency convinced La Gantoise's management to give him another shot. While he won't immediately join the first team, the 21-year-old striker will initially play for Jong KAA Gent, the club's reserve squad.

With this contract extension, La Gantoise secures the services of a young striker with immense potential, while David Mukuna can rely on a stable environment to aim even higher.
