La Liga Calling? Boniface Linked with Summer Move to Madrid


Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface could be on his way to Real Madrid next season with reports from Spain linking the Bayer Leverkusen star to potential transfer to the La Liga giants.
Alonso’s Ambitious Plans
Current Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso who's strongly tipped to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the Bernabeu next season, is reportedly drawing up bold transfer list.
And Boniface 24, features prominently as potential solution to Madrid's need for powerful centre forward.
Three-Man Shortlist for Madrid Attack
According to Telemadrid via Fichajes, Alonso's recommended 2 of his current players , Victor Boniface & Patrik Schick , along with Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres who's hefty 75 million euro release clause.
Despite injury setbacks, Boniface has netted 11 goal this season helping Leverkusen secure historic Bundesliga and DFB Pokal double.
His performances earned him the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award and place in the Team of the Year.
Transfer Battle Brewing
Boniface was close to 60 million euro move to Al Nassr in Jan, but the deal collapsed late. Now Juventus are showing serious interest, viewing him as affordable alternative to Victor Osimhen whose price remains too steep.
Summer Decision Looming
With Kylian Mbappe & Endrick already set to bolster Madrid’s frontline, Boniface could provide the physical presence Alonso's reportedly keen to add.
