Amiens SC delivered a commanding 4-2 win over Pau FC on Friday, May 2, thanks to a dazzling offensive display by their African duo—Senegal’s Malick Mbaye and Central African Louis Mafouta—on Matchday 33 of France’s Ligue 2 at the Stade de la Licorne.

Amiens SC produced one of their finest home wins of the season against Pau FC tonight. The hosts seized the initiative early through Louis Mafouta, who opened the scoring in the 7th minute after a pinpoint pass from Antoine Leautey. Ten minutes later, Amiens doubled their advantage in the 17th minute with Antoine Leautey getting on the scoresheet, set up by Malick Mbaye.

Amiens’ dominance continued as Louis Mafouta struck again in the 24th minute, latching onto another decisive assist from Senegalese playmaker Malick Mbaye. The Central African forward brought his tally to 9 goals in Ligue 2 this season.

Pau FC managed to pull one back in the 33rd minute through T. Koudou. Trailing 3-1 at halftime, the Maynats added a second after the break courtesy of Burkinabe Mamady Bangré in the 67th minute. However, the momentum remained with the hosts.

After providing two assists in the first half, Malick Mbaye found the net in the 86th minute, sealing the win for Amiens FC. The Senegalese forward, on loan from FC Metz, now boasts 5 goals and two assists in this Ligue 2 campaign.
