Linafoot play-offs: TP Mazembe defeated by FC Tanganyika!

Nothing is going right for TP Mazembe! Already beaten in last week's derby by Lupopo, the Ravens from Lubumbashi stumbled yet again, this time at home against FC Tanganyika.

Lamine Ndiaye's men suffered a surprising defeat (1-2) on their own turf at Kamalondo, further jeopardizing their chances of finishing on the podium.

The visitors opened the scoring as early as the 16th minute through Dan Mbaya, capitalizing on a defensive blunder. Mazembe responded quickly through Oscar Kabwit, who returned to the lineup and leveled just three minutes later.

However, the momentum was short-lived: Jean Benoît Banga restored FC Tanganyika's lead with a header from a wide free kick in the 26th minute.

Only 9 points in 6 matches for Mazembe!

In the second half, FC Tanganyika shut down all the spaces. Goalkeeper Aristote Tekasala stood out several times, denying Mazembe's strikers with crucial saves.

Despite numerous changes made by Lamine Ndiaye, it was all in vain.

With this second play-off win, Tanganyika climbs to 6 points. Meanwhile, Mazembe stalls with just 9 points from six matches and a deepening crisis.
