Lucas Radebe's birthday: "The Chief" celebrates 56 years!

Born on April 12, 1969, the iconic captain of the 90s Bafana Bafana, Lucas Radebe, also known as "The Chief," celebrates his 56th birthday.

To talk about the rich career of South African rock Lucas Radebe is to mention two prestigious jerseys: the yellow of Bafana Bafana and the white of the British stable Leeds United.

An example of loyalty and devotion, which have become rare in the world of football, the Soweto native was not only a talented defender but also a charismatic leader.

With the captain's armband, he led the "Whites" into the UEFA Champions League during the 1999-2000 season, reaching the semi-finals alongside the illustrious Harry Kewell, Rio Ferdinand, and Olivier Dacourt.
